My breath stilled as anxiety filled me. I bit down on the inside of my lip, awaiting a reply. I was so damn nervous, awaiting his reply. I was not sure what made me ask the question, to begin with, but here we were. I know I had no business asking the boss of my no-good ass husband if he wanted to get food with me, intimately, only the two of us. Why did I do that? The words came out before I could process the thought. What the fuck are you doing, Lika! This is a bad idea and what the fuck you gonna do if he says no? I thought.
âYes, I can eat . . .â he answered finally, his perfectly straight white teeth sparkling in the light.
I was speechless, a bitch was stuck on stupid. Am I hearing him correctly, did this fine ass, rich ass billionaire just say yes? This was all too much for me. I was overwhelmed at the thought that he wanted me. Of all the women in the world, me, little old me, LiLi? I must have been too caught up in my own thoughts because he continued before I had the opportunity to respond.

âThe chef can cater for us,â I replied.
Without speaking, Ethan picked up his cell phone and dialed, placing the phone on speaker as it rang. Ethan acted, he never spoke on what he was going to do or how he was going to do it, he just did it. The phone rang only once before a Hispanic lady answered.
âMr. Ethan, shall I have security come up to escort you to the car?â the Hispanic woman greeted in a heavy accent.
âYes, Paula, thank you. Also, please call Dianne and have her cook for a three-course dinner. Actually, one moment.â He paused, placing the phone on mute before looking up at me.
âWhat do you want her to make?â he asked me.
I went to answer his question when we both spoke at the same time.
âI can do sea bass,â I spoke.
âWe can do sea bass,â he said, at the same exact time as me.
We looked at each other in disbelief, this shit was weird. Did we just say the same exact thing and at the same exact time? I chuckled; this was beginning to get creepy. We were in sync with each other seemingly all of the time.
âI guess we both
